So I haven’t really done a “favourites” blog post before but I guess I’m really in the mood of switching up my blog and trying different kinds of posts! So today I gathered a few beauty products that I have been loving and I even included my favourite book right now, and even a hair product for all my black girls out there LOL.
First, we obviously have the Mario Badescu rose water that literally everyone has. I used to think it was super basic and useless and honestly I think It absolutely refreshens your skin and leaves in healthier, but that’s just my opinion. If you want a new primer or setter for your makeup I say get this cause it definitely works as both or a toner as well.
So, this is a beauty favourite that i’ve loved so much for the past few months. Its the Anastasia Brow wiz and i’m in the shade Dark brown. I feel like this is for us lazy girls who just want to fill in our brows a little bit and wanna leave TBH. The only downside to it is that I feel like it runs out really fast :(
The next favourite is the Kat von d tattoo liner. I recently just bought this eyeliner and I can already tell it’s one of the most long lasting eyeliners I’ve ever used. It also has a really flexible tip which is honestly perfect so I 1000% recommend this to anyone who needs a new eyeliner for sure.
LASH SENSATIONAL. K if you haven’t heard about this mascara do you even wear makeup? But in all honesty I really like this mascara. Plus, you can find it at any drugstore which is amazing. The only thing I didn’t like about it was how clumpy it is when you first start using it, but later on it settles down. 100% recommend.
Okay now this one is for my black ladies out there. This is by far the best gel I have used on my edges ( even though I don’t do them often). As you all know, sometimes when you use gel it ends up drying up white or crusty, but this gel actually keeps it down and laid for a pretty long time. I got it at my local African superstore :)
I CANT STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS BOOK.. It’s basically about a young teenage girl called Starr who battles her life in the “hood” and her life at school which is where all the caucasians go. An incident occurs with one of her best friends that causes her world to crumble and start to clash. This book shows boldness at its finest and really explains some struggles black people go through when being discriminated. IM SERIOUS LIKE READ THIS BOOK.. the movie comes out on Oct 5th.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if you tried anything or read the book I recommended be sure to dm me on instagram and tell me what you think!
